RHEDESIUM
Historical study is crucial to the promotion of that elusive creature, the well-informed citizen.
Rhedesium hopes to provide basic factual information about the background of the area of the Razes, its political institutions, archaeology and history as well as an insight into its myths and legends. Through its contributors and researchers it will endeavour to contribute to our capacity to use evidence, assess interpretations, and analyse change and continuities in the region's history. No one can ever quite deal with the present as the historian deals with the past—we lack the perspective for this feat; but we can move in this direction by applying historical habits of mind; and in the process we will perhaps understand the behaviour of Bérenger Saunière and others as well as the history of Septimania itself.
Rhedesium currently has an aim of publishing three times a year (September, January and May). Information on buying the new issue will be posted when available.
