WIFE OF JOHN E.DEWS-Mrs. Virginia Louise Tallman Dews, age 103, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, June 26, 2002 in Hot Springs.Mrs. Dews was born on Dec. 28, 1898 in Stuttgart, the daughter of Elliot and Carrie Mae Moody Tallman. She attended Ward-Belmont Academy and Northwestern University. Mrs. Dews lived in Brinkley, England, Stuttgart, Little Rock and Forrest City and was a member of Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church were she served as a Sunday school teacher, a deacon and an elder.Mrs. Dews married J.E. 'Chink' Dews in 1926 who preceded in death along with her two daughters, Hester Dews Woodfield and Anne Dews Ridgeway.Burial for Mrs. Dews was held in Forrest Park Cemetery by Stevens Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church at a later time. Stevens Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
